This time, instead of pitching or voting, we are joining forces with the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia , so our donation will help support programs for youth in our community. Grab a healthy snack, throw on your pyjamas and join us online for a fun evening of learning and giving, not to mention games and prizes too! Skip to content Kids wants to inspire our children to give back by providing a forum to help and contribute to local charities. The young people nominate local charities in advance, three of which are randomly selected for the evening. The three children whose charities are selected speak for 1 to 2 minutes, and then all participants vote on which charity will receive the donations. Now is your chance to participate and pitch for your charity!! Contact info kidshalifax.

Our Partners
On October 17th, we launched the program to our school through an assembly. Stokes and Mrs. Jacobson, two teachers at our school who are part of the Women Who Care program spoke to us, as well as our principal Mrs. Galt about helping change the world. Instantly, the program was a success! When the assembly let out, there was a line up in front of the bulletin board where the sign up sheet was. Our next meeting will be on in the U. There, we will have a draw to chose three activity finalists from the nomination box. The three people who put in the final ideas will come to the front and speak on why we should choose to do their activity and how it will help the community, the country, or the world.
